About Fiftee Karat (50 Karat)
Jerich Shellington aka Fiftee Karat was trained as a drummer since elementary school in choir and marching band. He began managing artists in the early 90’s and formed several record labels up until about 2003. Being around so many musically talented individuals, he taught himself how to play the keyboard and guitar.
To sharpen his skills and gain a better understanding of music theory, he took classes at a local college that further expounded his musical abilities.One would define 50 Karat as “a wealth of wisdom” both in the musical and within the business arena.
When asked by those around him you will find that he has an innate ear for great talent and a drive to pull the best from everyone that interacts with him.
Expertise
Being trained by some of the best producers in the music industry. This GA native by way of VA has a unique style that was forged from his native southern roots as well as 20 plus years of living in the DMV area. Fiftee Karat has perfected his craft through studying the best engineers, song writers and vocalists during his quest to pursue his musical ambitions.
Since being around such a diverse pool of talent in those areas, it was inevitable that some of those gifts would rub off on him. Currently he is a singer/songwriter, vocal coach, engineer and music producer.
